Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data Cue Coach handles, why, and your rights. The data controller is Test Name. Contact us at test@admin.com.

The short version

• We store your email address, your subscription status and how much of your allowance you've used.
• Your audio, transcripts, answers, CV and reports pass through our servers only to be processed. We don't store them. Anything that's saved, like your practice reports and session notes, is saved on your own computer.
• We never sell your data or use it for advertising.

What we collect and why

• Account data: your email address and when you signed up, to create your account and sign you in. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
• Billing data: your subscription status, billing period and Stripe customer ID. Stripe collects your payment details directly; we never see your full card number. Legal basis: contract, and our legal obligation to keep tax records.
• Usage records: how many AI credits and listening minutes you've used and when, to apply your plan's limits and prevent abuse. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests.
• Technical logs: IP addresses and error logs, kept for up to 30 days to keep the service secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Content you use with Cue Coach

To transcribe speech and generate feedback, Cue Coach sends your content to our servers, which pass it to the providers below and return the result. We don't store it on our servers or use it to train AI models.

• Audio from your microphone (and, in the meeting assistant, from your computer's sound) is streamed to Deepgram for transcription while you're listening.
• Text and screenshots (transcripts, questions, your CV and notes, code) are sent to Anthropic, and to OpenAI if that model is in use, to generate questions, feedback and replies.

These providers process the data on our behalf under their business terms, which don't allow them to train their models on it. They may keep it for a short time to detect abuse, as their policies describe.

If you use the meeting assistant, the other people on the call are also affected. You must tell them before you start, as our terms require.

Who we share data with

• Stripe (payments), Resend (sign-in emails), Deepgram (speech-to-text), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI models), and our hosting provider.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers are in the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, it's protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Account and usage data are kept until you delete your account. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires (in the UK, six years). Technical logs are kept for up to 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. You can delete your account yourself from your account page. For anything else, email test@admin.com. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie, which keeps you signed in to your account page. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
